Custom Ring Modulators
Built to Your Specifications
In addition to the standard kit, effect box and Eurorack module versions of the Ring Modulator, Delptronics will create a customized version built to your specifications.
If you are interested in a customized version of a Delptronics product, or even a completely custom built device, just contact us and we'll discuss it.
Below are some recent examples of custom builds.
Quad Passive Ring Mod
Lee wanted something unique for his rig. We kicked around a lot of ideas for the design until we had exactly what he needed. We built four passive ring modulators into one enclosure. This baby is all passive - no internal oscillators. We also built it with two extra carrier input jacks. Each of the four ring mods has a rotary switch to select the carrier signal: A, B or the input signal (for an octave-up effect). Plugging a signal into an individual ring mod's carrier jack overrides the switch. The result is a very flexible device with lots of perfomance potential.
The cost of this custom build is $345. Contact us if you would like one, or to discuss your own specifications.
Ring Modulator Pedal
Robert asked us if we could build a version of the Ring Modulator in a traditional pedal format. He wanted all of the functionality of the standard Delptronics Ring Modulator effect box, with the addition of a true bypass switch, a power LED and a standard power jack (in addition to battery power), all built into an industrial strength enclosure. No problem. Here are some pictures of what we built for him.
The cost of this custom build is $110. Contact us if you would like one, or to discuss your own specifications.
Ring Modulator Pedal with Octave-Up Footswitch
Jean-Marie needed a Ring Modulator pedal with an octave-up footswitch in addition to the true bypass footswitch. We also put in two bi-color LEDs to indicate bypass/active (red/green) and ring mod/octave up mode (yellow/blue). This pedal also has an external carrier signal input jack.
“I'm very pleased with the pedal, especially the octave up as it is equally heard over the whole range of the guitar unlike Octavias and other rectifier circuits that mainly are intense at the 12th fret. Thanks for building my new toy, especially in such a fair manner, it is the first time I got a detailed list of materials, calculated to the cent. Add one more happy customer to your list!”
— Jean-Marie E.
The cost of this custom build is $160. Contact us if you would like one, or to discuss your own specifications.
Dual Passive Ring Modulator
Roy wanted a dual passive Ring Modulator. That is, two ring mods built into one box without the built-in oscillators. Since the additional controls were not needed, we were even able to use a smaller enclosure.
The cost of this custom build is $140. Contact us if you would like one, or to discuss your own specifications.
